The Most Neglected Artist of Our Time
6:15 AMLEONARDO DA VINCI, Rembrandt, van Gogh--these are names known to millions. Even though you may never have seen one of their original paintings, you know these men as great artists. Their art has, in a sense, immortalized them.
They captured on canvas an enigmatic smile, a penetrating portrait, a glimpse of the beauty in creation, which still touches the imagination of the onlooker. We are captivated by what captivated them--even though centuries may separate us.
We may be neither artists nor art critics, but we can still discern artistic excellence. Like the artist whose work we admire, we also possess a sense of beauty. Our sensitivity to color, form, patterns, and light may be something we take for granted, but it is part of our lives. No doubt we like to decorate our homes with objects or paintings that please the eye. Although tastes vary, this sensitivity to beauty is a gift shared by most of humankind. And it is a gift that can draw us closer to our Creator.
The Gift of Beauty
A sense of beauty is one of the many attributes that distinguish mankind from the animals. The work Summa Artis--Historia General del Arte (Comprehensive Treatise of Art--A General History of Art) points out that man could be defined as the animal that has an aesthetic capacity. Because we are different from the animals, we see creation in a different light. Does a dog appreciate a beautiful sunset?
Who made us that way? The Bible explains that God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God's image he created him.Not that our first parents looked like God. Rather, God endowed them with attributes he himself possesses. One of these is an ability to appreciate beauty.
By some unfathomable process, the human brain perceives beauty. First of all, our senses convey to the brain information regarding the sounds, smells, colors, and shapes of objects that attract our attention. But beauty is much more than the sum of those electrochemical impulses, which merely tell us what is going on around us. We do not see a tree, a flower, or a bird in the same way an animal does. Although these objects may offer us no immediate practical benefit, they give us pleasure just the same. Our brain enables us to discern their aesthetic value.
This capacity touches our emotions and enriches our lives. Mary, who lives in Spain, vividly recalls one November evening several years ago when she stood beside a remote lake and watched the sunset. Flying toward me came wave after wave of cranes calling to each another, she says. Thousands of birds were strung out across the crimson sky in spidery patterns. Their annual migratory journey from Russia and Scandinavia had brought them to this Spanish resting-place. The experience was so beautiful that it made me cry.

Tattoos And A Wedding
6:15 AMIt is every women's dream to have that gorgeous dream wedding where she can be treated like a princess for a day. Well one couple in Waterbury Connecticut certainly had a different idea of that dream wedding. The couple decided to get married on one of the most unholy days of the years, Halloween. The couple tied the knot at a local tattoo studio on Halloween and to seal the deal the bride and the groom both got tattooed. Fortunately, they did not get each others names tattooed on each other, which is a good thing. But then again the bride got 'werewolf' tattooed on her knuckles and her groom got 'wormfood' tattooed on his knuckles. Even though these words seem out of the ordinary they both have special meaning to each of them. However, if would probably be more romantic if they got each others names tattooed on them but that is besides the point.
This just goes to prove a point that when two people are in love and share a special bond with each other, they don't need the traditional diamond engagement ring and wedding bands to seal their lifetime bond. This couple is obviously the nontraditional couple that has a deep love for each other as well as a great love of tattoos.
So take this as a lesson learned to all your nontraditional people out there that also have a love for tattoos. If you would rather use tattoos to seal your matrimonial bond than by all means head to your local tattoo studio and get inked up. There is a huge plus side to this nontraditional approach, you won't have to spend hundreds of dollars on a engagement ring or wedding band.

The life of models
6:15 AMHave you always admired the models present at fashion shows? Do you dream about being part of an online modeling community? If your answer to either of these two questions is affirmative, then you have every reason to keep on reading. This article is aimed at providing useful information about modeling and everything that revolves around it. It's bound to be interesting!
We all know what a glamorous life models lead. They get to wear the coolest clothes, made by some of the most popular fashion designers out there. Moreover, they travel to exotic locations and encounter amazing opportunities in their lives. Who would have thought that being part of an online modeling community would represent the start of such an amazing journey?
If you have always wanted to be one of the models you saw on TV, then there is no better time than the present. Discover the benefits of online modeling websites and search for jobs the moment you become a member. Having the Internet technology so available, it's impossible not to come across a job that will make you known to the general public. The first step is that you join in and start looking for jobs. You will soon be introduced among the featured models and it won't take too long before specialized companies contact you.
Whether you decide to search for a job or decide to be contacted, one thing is sure. The advent of the Internet technology has given a whole new face to the world of modeling, with different models being better presented and to a wider public. Online modeling websites have become increasingly popular, with more and more girls using them in order to get jobs into the field of fashion and modeling. Let's take a look at some of the information you will have to provide once you are presented on the website as a model.
All featured models have to specify an age group they fit into. For example, if you are currently 19 years old, you should select the 18-21 age group. Next, there is the gender, hair and eyes. You will also have to mention if your body is tattooed or not, your ethnicity and the city/state/country you are from. Last, but not least, you will be given the possibility to introduce a few photos for free public preview and reserve the ones from fashion shows for members online (create galleries). These are basically the things you will have to specify at first, followed by a brief description about yourself and the kind of work you are interested in.
Models do lead a great life but one that is not spared from sacrifices. Before you become a member of an online modeling community, think long and hard if this is really what you are interested in. If you are prepared for everything that modeling is about, then go ahead and search for jobs online. You will definitely find plenty of offers from which to choose, some more appealing than others!

Can't Find The Right Design
6:15 AMI personally did not have this problem with my tattoos but a lot of people do have this problem. Not being able to find the exact design they want to get tattooed on them. This is where your local tattoo artist comes in and can really show you his or her true colors as a tattoo artist. All you have to do is sit down and talk with your tattoo artist and describe to them what you want and they can pretty much 9 times out of 10 draw you up something that you want. Don't for a second think you are putting the artist out by being so unsure about your design. A lot of artist like to actually free hand and come up with a design on their own rather than just coping one you brought in.
Usually, when you get a custom tattoo design the artist will tell you to come back later that day or even a couple days later so they have plenty of time to draw up your one of a kind design. Also don't be afraid to let them know every single detail you want and don't want on your tat, and for heavens sake if you do not like what they came up with tell them so they can make the changes. After all you don't want to be stuck with something that you don't like forever.
So make an appointment or just drop in to your local tattoo parlor and get the design you really want. Don't ever settle for something when it comes to getting a tattoo.

A New Tattoo Ink That Makes Removal Less Painful
6:15 AMWe have all been taught that tattoos are forever. But if you realistically think about it, they really are not as permanent as you may think. If you have gotten a tattoo that your completely regret and want to endure the pain and the expense of laser tattoo removal than, yes you can get that tattoo removed.
However, there is a new dye in town, that is set to hit tattoo parlors all over the United States this fall. This new and improved dye as they are calling it has a great advantage. This new tattoo ink is permanent as well as removable. This new ink is made by storing dye in microscopic capsules that will stay in the skin for good. But if you have a lover's name tattooed on you and you break up or you simply have a tattoo that you may have out grown. You can now get it zapped away with a single laser treatment instead of the seven to fifteen painful and expensive treatments that are needed now for removal.
With the staggering number of young people from the age of 18 to 29 that are getting tattoos, there is bound to be a few that will regret one of their tattoo designs. So this new and improved ink is sure to be a great success with tattoo customers. Not to mention being able to save people time, money and pain is another great selling point to this new ink.
Please note you might want to ask the tattoo artist before you get inked if they are using the new improved ink, just to be on the safe side.

Why Did You Get Your Tattoo(s)
6:15 AMI thought it would be kind of interesting to find out why people got tattoos. There are several reasons why one would want to get inked. For example, to mark a time in their life, to remember someone they have lost, to recognize a love you have for someone, to support some cause or just because. So what category do do fall into?
I personally fall into the to mark a time in my life category. I got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday to mark the occasion of me becoming an adult and being the legal age to get a tattoo. Then I got my second one on my 21st birthday to mark the occasion of being able to legally drink. I was planing on getting another one on my 25th birthday just because I think 25 is a milestone were you are really considered an adult. But that tattoo didn't happen because of the way my hubby feels about them. However, I have been thinking about getting a certain tattoo to mark a milestone in my husband and I's relationship, but I doubt that will ever happen because of the way he feels about it. I had jokingly said when I was 21 that I would get a new tattoo every 5 to 10 years to mark the different age milestones in my life. It's funny how those plans can change.
So please feel free to share your reason's why you have gotten your tattoos. I would love to hear people's reasons.

Tattoos and Pregnancy Part 2
6:15 AMAlright I know I covered this yesterday but since I am on the topic of tattoos and pregnancy I thought this would be as good of time as any to talk more about tattoos on the stomach. I mean we all know what happens to your stomach when you get pregnant. It stretches and gets really big, so naturally your tattoo is going to stretch and get bigger as well. The one question I want to know is.will your tattoo go back down to regular size after you have had the baby and lost all the baby weight?
I have researched his topic and have found that it really depends on the person. It seems that different women have different results when it comes to their stomach tattoos. For instance, some say that after they have lost their baby weight the tattoo goes back to normal. While others say their tattoo faded a bit and stretched out a little. So I guess it really depends on how much weight you gain and how much your stomach stretches. But to be on the safe side when you are younger just try to refrain from getting a tattoo on your stomach or in any area that maybe affected if you become pregnant. However, if you find youself having a brain fart when getting a tattoo and get one on your stomach anyways, I have heard that some mothers keep their stomaches very moisturized and that seems to help with the stretching of the tattoo.

Henna Tattoos Cause Scars
6:15 AMI have read several articles all over the internet claiming that a large amount of people around the world are having severe allergic reactions to henna tattoos. Granted most of these people have traveled out of the United States to somewhere in Asia. A nine year old girl from Greece got a henna tattoo and within hours of getting it, It blistered and when the blisters popped the ink began to scab off. Then it got redder and hotter. They went to a doctor and the docotor advised them to go to a burn unit at the hospital. Doctors are concerned that this temporary tattoo is going to scare this little girl for life.
There is also another horrible story about a 10 year old boy from Australia that is experience something a little different than blisters, very dark hair is growing around the henna tattoo. Dermatologists say these horrible allergic reactions are being caused by the toxic dye para-phenylenediamine, or PPD, that these people are using while giving people these henna tattoos. This toxic dye is similar to the dye that is used in hair dye. Also experts are suggesting that these places in Asia are using black ink and not the traditional brown ink.
So the best advise dermatologists and parents who have children that have had reactions to these henna tattoos is just to avoid them all together, especially if you are out of the country. Also if you notice the ink they are using is black is another huge indication to stay away from them. If you want a fake tattoo just stick to the original temporary ones.

3 Smart Ways For Your Plan of Gemini Zodiac Tattoo
6:15 AMIf you are overeager to get your Gemini Zodiac tattoo, you go to a tattoo shop to choose one design from many options. Although a tattoo may take only a few hours to finish, what seems like a cool design at this moment may turn into a deep regret later. It is very important that you must invest an abundance of thoughts and research before getting one.
Firstly, you need to know something about Gemini tattoos clearly that will help you to choose the most suitable one. It is the third of twelve zodiac signs. People with birthdays between May 22nd and June 21st are considered Gemini and may choose Gemini tattoos to show their notable dual personalities. As Gemini are well known as 'natural dual', many designs are based on twins. Human twins are one of the most common designs. However, do you know animals are also representing Gemini twins? Wolves are known as representations of Romulus and Remus (the twin mythological founders of Rome). Nowadays, the twin objects can be any pairs and your choice should be wider than your expectation.
Secondly, you should search for a number of different designs to create your idea. Tattoo shop is not the best place to have top design tattoos, but it is recommended to find out thousand of different designs in classified categories on the web. It is the most effective way to do so. Some websites can provide all their designs free of charge. However, you can find all are very common only. Therefore, you need to find the professional websites to join their membership.
Finally, you should know a common problem with tattoos is dissatisfaction so that you may avoid to make the wrong decision. In the future, you may think your tattoo no longer fits your current style or that the design has become dated. . You want to find out the method to remove it. Unfortunately, tattoos may be permanent. It is difficult to remove the tattoos completely with the method of laser surgery, dermabrasion or surgical removal today. Please really to make your decision before you go ahead.

Tattoos and Pregnancy
6:15 AMAlright the reason I bring this up is because my husband and I are toying around with the idea of trying to have a baby in a year or so. So that got me thinking, are there any risks or anything else I should know about regarding tattoos and pregnancy.
First and foremost I have found out that if for some ridiculous reason you want to get a new tattoo while you are pregnant you will more than likely have a hard time finding a tattoo artist that will actually do it. There isn't really any rules or laws pertaining to pregnant women getting a tattoo but most artist feel it isn't worth the risk and that you should wait until after the baby is born to get your tattoo.
Also another interesting thing I found out is that there is some kind of myth going around that if you have a back tattoo that you can not get an epidural. There have only been a few studies conducted on this matter and of those studies nothing conclusively found any data that shows that there are risks, so most anesthesiologists have no problem giving an epidural to a woman with a back tattoo. But just in case you are worried about this you should contact your local hospital or doctor and see what they say. I know someone you has a tattoo on her lower back and she had an epidural without any problems so I don't really see what the fuss is about.

Is There A Time And A Place For Tattoos?
6:15 AMThe reason I bring this question up is because I was at a funeral over the weekend, my 5th funeral I have been to in a year, but that besides the point. Anyways there was this women there that had a fairly large tattoo on her lower arm, two fairly big tattoos on either side of her neck and one pretty big on her chest by her collar bone. For some unknown reason I felt that maybe she should have covered them up. I don't really know why I felt this way because I am a tattoo lover and I don't have a problem with them. But I feel and please understand this is my opinion so don't write me hate comments. That when you are at a funeral or wedding or some other important function that your tattoo should be covered up is possible. Am I right to feel this way. I mean I know I have the right to feel any way I want, but I want to know if anyone else out there in the tattoo community feels this way too.
Is there really a time and a place that you should show off your tattoos? Or should people just get over the fact that you have them and mind their own business? So please don't be shy and express to me how you feel about this subject. I would love to know if I'm the only one that feels this way.

Celebrity Tattoos: Nicole Richie
6:15 AMNicole Richie has several tattoos of her own nine to be exact. Back in 2005 Nicole held the number two spot on a list of the Top 25 Tattooed Celebrities, as you can guess the heavily tattooed but lovely none the less Angelina Jolie came in at number one.
Nicole has lived a very troubled life but she has seemed to have gotten things pulled together since the birth of her daughter Harlow. Nicole is no stranger to the tattoo gun and loves to show off her nine tattoos to the world.
Here's a list of Nicole's Tattoos:
1. Rosary on Her Ankle and Foot
2. Angel Wings on Her Shoulder Blades
3. 'Richie' and a Ribbon on the Back of Her Neck
4. Tiara on Her Hip, Not a Spider like some thought
5. Red Shooting Star on the Insider of Her Right Wrist
6. 'Virgin' on Her Left Wrist
7. Ballerina Slippers on Her Stomach
8. Cross on Her Lower Back
9. Spray of Dots on an Unknown Finger
However, it seems that Nicole isn't too keen on the idea of Harlow and any other future children wanting to go out and get inked when they became of age. Nicole told Access Hollywood when she was eight months pregnant with baby Harlow she hoped Harlow wouldn't want to get tattoos.
'I actually have a theory. I think that whether we have a boy or a girl, they're going to be so embarrassed of Joel's tattoos and my tattoos, because I have nine, because you never want to be like your parents. Does that make sense? [Joel] has sleeves. I really think that they're going to be embarrassed because he's their dad, so I have a feeling that they just won't get them. At least that's what I hope.'

6:15 AMI can't believe that it is Wednesday already, man how this week is flying by. So since it is hump day it is time for another celebrity tattoo post. I decided to go with Pink this week, mainly because she has a ton of tattoos and I thought it would be great to cover her. Also I would love to know if everyone out there thinks her tattoos are too much or if they are just right?
Pink has a ton of tattoos. I could only find 25 of them on her, she may have more. The actaully number of tattoos that she has really isn't clear. But here is a list of her many tattoos that I was able to find.

Celebrity Tattoos: Joaquin Phoenix
6:15 AMI can't believe it is already Wednesday. So you know what that meanscelebrity tattoo time. I decided to go with the very talented Joaquin Phoenix. The reason being because he only hasone tattoo that I feel certain that most people do not even know that he has a tattoo. Also Joaquin has announced that he is leaving the acting world behind and is planning on devoting all of his time to his music career. So maybe that will inspire him to get some more ink.
Anyways Joaquin has one very simple yet kind of odd tattoo under his right bicep. It is a badly drawn circle. Joaquin was on vacation in Italy and decided to go ahead and get a tattoo because he had always wanted one, but unfortunately things didn't go quit as he planned.
'I was in Florence and we had just been to the fashion week in Milan. Everybody had these Gaelic symbols that were about wisdom, things like that.'
'I'd always dreamed about getting a tattoo but I didn't want it to be a fashionable symbol. So I said, 'Let's get a 'nothing' tattoo.' That's why I have this badly drawn circle.'
'It hurt like hell and there was also a problem with the language barrier.'
So learn a lesson from Joaquin if you are in a foreign country and you want to get some fresh ink besure that you have a detailed pictured of what you want down just in case there is a language barrier.

More People Forced To Cover Up Tattoos
6:15 AMIt seems that more and more people are being forced to cover up their body art. I honestly can't believe it has gone this far. It seems with the growing popularity of tattoos and society some what 'excepting' them, oddly enough more and more jobs are requiring their employees to cover up their body art. Which if you ask me is completely unfair. I feel that making someone cover up their tattoo is discrimination against people who have ink. I mean we are taught not to judge someone by the color of their skin, so why doesn't this apply to someone who has a little ink on their skin? Sadly, I guess these 'officials' do not feel the same way about this. They are more concerned about what people may think.
USA Today is reporting that cities and school districts around the country are forcing their employees to cover up their tattoos and if they don't it could cost them their job. The powers that be say that this new ridiculous rule has been issued to help maintain a good image. This new rule is effecting teachers, janitors and firefighters.
Capt. Armando Hogan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department, explained the reason behind all the firefighters having to follow this rule. 'We didn't want to offend some people in the community.' If you ask me its all a bunch of bull. What about the men and women who risk their life to save someone from a fire or accident, have you they even thought about how this rule would offend them? Just goes to show that these officials are only looking at these issues from one side.

Man Offers His Skin For Tattoo Practice
6:15 AMI for one don't really agree with this. This man is offering his body to any Tom, Dick or Harry that wants to become a tattoo artist. This could really turn into some thing bad if this guy isn't careful. Tattooing is a serious business and should not be taken lightly. There is a lot more to tattooing that just turning on the tattoo gun and start 'drawing' on someones skin. For instance they may not know how deep your are suppose to go before you get to your second layer of skin, which is wear tattoos are suppose to be. Also there is a high chance of cross-contamination or blood-borne pathogens or sterilization.
Just in case you are wondering this man has placed an ad on Craiglist offering his body to a hopeful tattoo artist to basically practice on him. The main reason I believe this man is doing this is to get free tattoos. He currently has 2 tattoos and said he would love to have his whole torso covered in them and this way would be perfect because he could get inked for free. But has he even thought for a second that these 'free tattoos' he will be getting may not be all that great. After all the person is 'practicing' and we all know that practice makes perfect. I for one would not want to have someone practicing their tattoo skills on my body, mainly because you will have to live that that not so great tattoo for the rest of your life. Also you may get some sort of infection or something worse because they 'artist' may or may not know what they are doing.

When A Lover Doesn't Apporve Of Tattoos
6:15 AMI thought today would be as good of a day as any to tackle this subject. If you are a regular here and I hope you are. You will know that I love tattoos and would absolutely love to get another one but my husband isn't a real big fan of them so I haven't gotten any more. So this leads me wanting to know would you do the same thing if your husband/wife or girlfriend/boyfriend felt the same way?
I know there maybe people out there that feel that it is their body and they should be able to do whatever they want to it and I agree with that. But when you truly love someone and really respect them you sacrifice things that you want because of them. However, there is one thing that I don't quit understand about my hubby not wanting me to get another tattoo. The reason is because he actually paid for my second tattoo that I got on my 21st birthday. He claims that it is different because we were not married then. But I feel it is the same thing, I mean I was his girlfriend at the time.
So what do all of you out there in tattoo land have to say about this? Also have you experienced the same thing with your loved one? Lastly, would you go out and get a tattoo even though you knew that your lover did not approve of it? I know I would never be able to do that because I wouldn't want to disappoint my husband. But if he gave me the ok, then yes I would get another one in a heart beat.

What is the Significance of Art
6:15 AMArt is such a simple term but it is difficult to define. To a child, art is drawing and coloring. For celebrities, art is acting and entertaining. For designers, art is trend and fashion. The definition of art can be very objective.
Different sectors have their own definition of art. They have various standards too. For a mother, the drawings of her children are works of art. For museums, art is the genuine creation of a significant artist in the past.
Just like its definition, its significance also varies. There are various forms of art today, and each is important to the artist involved. A good example is a musician. Music is a good example of art. That is why singers are called artists. For a songwriter, each song has a story that he wants the people to hear. For most writers, this is very personal.
For various artists, art is way of expressing themselves. You may have seen an abstract oil painting, although you cannot recognize the patterns and strokes of the artists, it is very important for the painter. For him, it represents his emotion and his character. It can symbolize his anger and frustration. However, it can also represent his love and compassion. Anyone who sees it can also use it to represent how they feel. Strokes and colors can evoke certain emotions from other people. This is why most people want to buy pieces of artwork.
For others, it represents their dreams. The television today has produced several competitions that opened the doors for various dreamers. There are dancers across the country who lined up to audition because all their life they wanted to dance in front of an audience who appreciates what they can do. Many have gone to school to enhance their skills so that they can be among the best dancers in the world.
Like music, dancing is a form of art that can evoke various feelings. Aside from love, dances can also evoke sensuality, excitement, fun, passion, anger, and happiness. Art here is more than entertainment and talent. It is more of touching people's life through their moves and choreography.
Today, art also symbolizes comfort. You can see art in many beautiful and comfortable homes. Interior designers are also artists in many ways. They match things to provide a wonderful space for their client. Seeing the overwhelming reactions of their clients gives them satisfaction. To them, that is the most rewarding feeling.
Art has also transcended in foods. Many cooks and chefs have proven this. Some maybe predictable but others are like the abstract oil painting. You do not care what is in there as long as you like the taste. For them, being able to feed and satisfy their customers is all that matters.
Art is very significant in today's generation. Since it has taken various forms, it has earned the respect of almost all the artists. Musicians respect their instruments. Painters respect their brushes, paints, and canvass. And, chefs respect their ingredients and utensils.
Art is significant because of the sense of fulfillment an artist feels every time he finishes a masterpiece.

Finders tellers - did you find what you were looking for?
6:15 AMWhen we say find, we do not mean about simply using a search engine and waiting for the generated results. With Finders Tellers, you are invited to post your listing and say to others (or better yet describe) the things you are looking for. In due time, you can check the responses posted and see if any of them are useful. They are the tellers and you can become one yourself. Tellers provide all the information you need to know about the product or service in question, including links and additional details for your own benefit.
Using this service will allow you to search for things, ideas, places or services. You can search for news, music or video strips, waiting feedback from other interested users. In fact, the number of categories included increased on a daily basis. They have antiques and collectibles, arts and crafts, plus baby products and beauty. You can enter your request in any of these categories. Books, clothes and food related stuff - all you can search for, waiting for the tellers' response. If you are interested in garden products, music, photography, pottery, real estate or technology, this is place where you should go and ask for it.
Online, at Finders Tellers, you can see a few examples of other's people requests and even post a response for them (in case you have useful info). The listings include a photo of the product, with a short description and there is even a potential reward. You can proceed to reading the detailed information. For example, let's say someone is trying to find a book on the politics of the Middle East. The category is books, non-fiction and history. You will see the name of the user who has posted that request and also his/her status. The detailed description includes questions about where are the best books on this subject to be found. The user also inquires about the existence of book presenting Arabic religious beliefs, asking for a well-put compilation of facts.
For someone interested in finding a specific product, this is the best resource ever. Let's say you want to find TV converter boxes, after you heard about the possibility of getting them for free. The one thing you have to do is ask and you will soon receive a response from one of the tellers. The category is technology, television and you can always vote if the response was helpful or not. As a response to that question, the user might decide to offer you URL links and also some free advice, like taking the coupons and using them at the local store. As you can see for yourself, this service is useful, highly functional and really popular.
And how about someone posting a request for a wedding dress? That lady might want a unique wedding dress, with specific custom designs. With this particular service, she can ask for what she needs and even offer a reward. Specialized vendors, using the same resource, will promptly answer to her request and provide the future bride with the much desired dress. Thus, users have the great advantage of finding buyers. Is 'Finding Made Easy' or what?
As a general conclusion, you have to remember that the Internet presents some of the greatest opportunities for searching. You can always use a search engine but for more specific and positive results, a service like this one is more indicated. The tellers provide helpful responses and you will certainly find what you were looking for. Moreover, vendors have the definite advantage of browsing diverse categories and check out the latest trends. Someone who sells wedding dresses can see current tendencies by browsing that specific category. And plus, it's a lot of fun!

Be Psychic- Tips For Awakening The Psychic In You
6:15 AMHave your ever had an experience you thought was a coincidence, but a nagging feeling made you feel there was more meaning to it? Those nagging feelings may be the very seeds of your own psychic ability waiting to be cultivated.
Your psychic sense can be compared to the bubbles that surface on a quiet pond. As you quietly stare into a still pond, you will soon notice the movement of the water. When you continue to focus your attention into the small body of water, you will eventually see tiny ripples of water and small bubbles emerge from the depths of the quiet pond. That's exactly the way your sixth sense will respond, when you pay attention to the 'psychic bubbles' of insights that surface from the depths of your mind.
How can you develop your psychic ability naturally? Set aside time to do nothing but experience your senses. Absorb everything you observe or feel around you. When an image flashes into your mind or a feeling runs through your body, don't be quick to dismiss it. Instead, allow yourself to savor it as you would a delicious dessert. If it is an image, observe the details of it but also pay attention to the way the image makes you feel. If it's a feeling, try to make it into an image. Imagine it as a sound or a smell.
Try new activities and do old things in new ways. Loosen your focus on goals and try being flexible enough to stimulate your mind by doing something out of the ordinary. Follow your impulses and lean toward the unusual. As you do, you will be exercising your mind to function psychically.
Studies show that the brain waves of subjects change when they're introduced to new materials or experiences. A person who is receptive to new experiences, new information, and has been exposed to unusual and varied life experiences, will find it easier to develop the ability. Therefore, act like sponge! Soak up as many experiences as possible to feed your mind the subliminal stimuli necessary to cultivate your psychic ability.
Exercise your extra-sensory mental muscle naturally with these five simple tips:
- Travel as much as possible and observe everything.
- Change your routine by driving a new way to work or in some other way.
- Try an exotic food and savor the experience.
- Talk to someone you think you have nothing in common with.
- Solve a problem by listening to a 'hunch' or 'gut instinct'.
Developing your psychic sense is a natural as learning how to exercise. One is for body fitness and the other is for mental fitness. Both give you the tools to reach your full potential and the ability to create an even better life than you have now. To develop your sixth sense naturally set aside time to accomplish nothing. Instead just experience the moment through your senses and become aware of everything as though you were just born.

Starting A New Chapter In Your Life
6:15 AMWe all know when it comes to getting a tattoo you don't really have to have a reason to get one, you get one because you want one. Well it seems that a lot of people get tattoos to mark chapters in their life. The reason I bring this up is that my sister is going trough a rough divorce right now and she really wants to get a tattoo to free herself from everything that she is going through. Also because she is literally starting a whole new scary chapter of her life not knowing what is ahead of her. I of course encourage her to get one if that's what she really wants to do.
I personally think that if a tattoo helps you get over a tough place in your life and the tattoo will help you move on than more power to you. We all heal in different ways and strangely enough if something as simple as some ink on your skin can help you heal then by all means ink yourself up until your heart is content. Of course I might have gotten myself into a little bit of trouble by encouraging her to get a tattoo because she really wants to me to go with her and get one myself. If you are a regular here you know that my husband doesn't really care for them so out of respect of him I'm not getting another one. But I will admit if I do go with her to get her first tattoo it will be very hard to resist the powers of the tattoo gun and not getting another one for myself.

White Tattoos..What The Heck
6:15 AMI will admit I was scratching my head at this one and I still don't quit get it.
But apparently there is a new tattoo fad among us that I didn't know about. It
seems that white ink tattoos have become some sort overnight success and most
have. Popular celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Kate Moss both have these
interestingly new white tattoos. From what I have read, these white tattoos are
applied with a regular tattoo gun but the ink that is used is thicker and of a
higher quality than normal to stand out on the skin.
Reality TV star Jasmine Lennard, is the newest person to get hooked in this
latest tend. she said,
'Everyone in LA is having the tattoos so I just had to have one. I saw Lindsay
Lohan had one and it looked so pretty I asked her where she got it. She told me
to go to the Shamrock. At first I was terrified to go because I thought it
looked like a branding rather than a tattoo.'
'The tattoo was red after it was done but I love the design because it's subtle
and you don't really see it unless you are looking for it, which is the charm of
the whole thing.'
'Lots of stars have them. I was told Kate Moss has white ink hearts all up the
side of her body.'
There are some downsides to these white tattoos though, for one you absolutely
can not have them exposed to the sun. Secondly, they fade almost twice as fast
as a regular tattoos and lastly it is advised not to get a white tattoo if you
have very light colored skin because it will just end up looking like scar
tissue and not a tattoo. I will admit to everyone I just don't know about this
new tattoo trend. I think it looks like you have literally branded yourself.

Tattoos Looked Upon Differently If You Are Famous
6:15 AMSince I did a celebrity tattoo post yesterday about Pink and she has 25 tattoos that I know of, I thought I would bring this up. Do you think that society looks at rock-stars, athletes, and celebrities differently if they have tattoos than a regular person is looked at. I mean for instance, Pink had 25 tattoos or more and if she wasn't a singer do you think people would view her as trashy? Or take David Beckham for example nearly half of his body is covered in tattoos but since he is a famous soccer star he isn't bothered about them. And lastly the gorgeous Angelina Jolie, has several tattoos all over her body, would people view her as trashy if she wasn't Angelina Jolie?
I hate to admit that I feel like since they are famous and have tons of money that some people give them an free card to get tattoos and not be hounded about it. But we all know if David Beckham or even Tommy Lee wasn't as famous as they are, they would more than likely be ridiculed about their tattoos and more than likely forced to cover them up. So I think this is just another great example of how people view people with tattoos. If it is ok for your child's so called role model to be covered in tattoos and not get made fun of than what is the difference of us normal people having tattoos? I personally don't think there is a difference except for the fact that their job doesn't look down upon if they have a little or a lot of ink.

Getting Together With Other Vampires
6:15 AMCalling out to all vampires! It's time to stop searching for small niche groups which can sometimes be found in large social networking websites, and its time to join a website dedicated to vampires itself! Indeed, as I have been recently surfing across the internet, I have found a number of sites which have taken my interest in this area. No, it's not because they look all vampirey, although I have to admit that the sites I have seen are pretty well designed. Also, it's not because I can buy awesome vampire merchandise there - from apparel, to vampire tools and books (although once again this is a great feature). All of these ass-ons aside, the real reason I have been attracted to these websites time and time again is because of the quality relationships I have formed with other people who think in the same way as me.
See, when I find discovered myself as an inner vampire - I actually felt as if I was the only person who had those types of urges around the place. It wasn't until I started actively searching on mainstream sites for like minded people that I actually did find a few. After a few months worth of chatting and sharing ideas about the real vampires out there in the world like us, one of them asked me why I wasn't a member of the dedicated vampire site. Indeed, I had never even heard of it before. But sure enough - it existed. And just a few short minutes later, I had navigated my way over to the site, and signed up. Woe and behold, I was suddenly plunged in to a world which I knew existed - but never knew had such a strong presence on the internet. Thanks to one of my vampyre friends right from the start, I am now a fully fledged member of all 4 vampire sites.
So how do you locate these sites? Well, you are going to have to strike up a search yourself. Let me just say that they aren't too hard to find out there. If you are genuinely interested in becoming a vampire - and have the willingness and desire to find like minded people, it will only require a few short minutes of looking around in order to get your hands on the URL. Perhaps, if you already have a few vampire friends, you could track them down, get in contact with them, and see if they can tell you where to look.
And what is in it for you? Well, for starters, you will be given access to one of the most extensive vampire databases in the entire world. You will be instantly given the resources to be able to communicate directly with real vampires from right across the world, in a friendly, civilized manner. You will be able to learn new things that never would have been possible if you weren't a member of one of these sites. All in all, there is so much to gain, and so little to lose.

Tattoos Help Identify Man
6:15 AMI will admit the title of this post is a little misleading, but that's not really the point. The point of this post is there was a man several counties over from where I live found murdered in the woods with no identification on him. Police have search high and low for any leads to help identify this man. The only thing they had to go with were his three fairly unique tattoos that he has. So this just goes to show that your body art not only expresses you as a person but if can help your family members help find you if you are lost or missing. Sadly I haven't heard anything else about this case but police are hoping that someone will recognize this mans tattoos and be able to help identify this man.
So parents that have a problem with tattoos maybe you should take this as a lesson learned. If you were to allow your child to get a tattoo or more than one tattoo. And if for some unforsaken reason if they were to go missing you are armed with these identifiable marks on your child's body to help the authorities to find them. So keep this in the back of your mind when your child approaches you about getting some ink on their body. You honestlynever know, that ink on their body could help you find them one day or help save their life. So all you tattoo haters out there, please keep this in your mind tattoos are not all evil they can actually help a family have closure on an unfortunate event.

There Is A New Record For Tattooing
6:15 AMA tattoo artist in Tyler Texas decided to try and attempt to beat the Guinness World Records of giving the most tattoos in one day. Derek Kastning, who is a tattoo artist at Rat-a-Tac-Tat Tattoos started to attempt his goal of breaking the tattooing record at 1 P.M. on October 25. His only concern about beating the world record was that he would run out of people to tattoo during the 24 hour time frame. Surprisingly, he did not have this problem as hundreds of people waited in line outside the building to be part of this great tattooing event. When midnight rolled around they realized they had already beaten the record but wanted to keep going. So at 1 P.M on October 26, Derek Kastning tattooed his last tattoo making the new tattooing world record of 726 tattoos in a 24 hour period.
I think this is so cool and how awesome it is for those people who were able to get tattooed during that 24 hour time frame. Although I bet that guys arms, hands, neck and every other muscle in his body ached when he was done at the end of the day. Anyways I just thought this was pretty neat and wanted to share this with all of my fellow tattoo lovers out there. I wonder if this guy gave some sort of discount or something for the people who helped him achieve this awesome goal? If not, I think he should have, after all he wouldn't have been able to do it without willing participates to tattoo.

Baltimore Tattoo Museum
6:15 AMI thought this was rather interesting as well as pretty cool. There is a tattoo parlor/studio/shop whatever your prefer to call them in Baltimore that not only is a museum but serves as a functioning tattoo facility. The tattoo studio goes by the same name as the Museum, Baltimore Tattoo Museum. The museum consists of historical photographs, as well as articles, and of course there are plenty of colorful tattoo drawings mounted on the walls. The museum wraps around the whole shop and starts with the earliest days of tattooing and ends with tattoos current presence in today's world.
I think this is great mainly because there are a lot of tattoo shops out there. So an important thing to do if you are a tattoo shop owner is make sure that your shop is unique and stands out to people. So this shops neat idea of showcasing the history of tattoos can help educate people on the art of tattooing and where it came from. Which I think is a wonderful thing. After all if you have a question about something you have seen in the exhibit who better to ask than one of the tattoo artists.
So if you are in the Baltimore area and are a huge tattoo lover or are just interested in the history of tattooing be sure to stop by this unique tattoo shop. They are located at 1534 Eastern Avenue in Fells Point. Also I have heard that the staff is very friendly and helpful to anything you may need or want.

Tattoos In The White House
6:15 AMBefore you get all worried I'm not going to talk about politics or the up incoming election, this is not the blog for that. I ran across a quote from Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and thought it was relevant to this tattoo blog. I guess when Pete was a youngster he expressed some kind of interest in becoming the president or involved in politics like some many young children do. Well it seems that Pete's mother has squashed his dreams of every becoming the president simply because he has too many tattoos. But Pete isn't too worried about his tattoos he says, 'I could never pursue a career in politics. I've been involved in far too many scandals.'
But Pete did make a really good point about tattoos being in the White House. Here is what he said.
'Isn't that an irony, though, now that so many of our generation have tattoos? A tattooed person will end up in office one day, mark my words. Not necessarily at a presidential level, but there will be people with tattoos in the administration.'
I hate to burst Pete's bubble but I guarantee there is someone on the staff at the White House that indeed has a tattoo and if no one there currently has a tattoo, I'm sure there has been presidents and other personnel there that has a tattoo or two. But I think Pete was more so talking about people being covered in tattoos like him. Either way it just goes to show that tattoos are still looked down upon. Maybe if there was a president in the White House that had tattoos and was open about it the perception of tattoos would change. But who am I kidding? I think there will always be some kind of negativity attached to tattoos.

I've Noticed Something
6:15 AMLast month well let me rephrase that more like two months ago I wrote a post about the most popular places for men and women to get tattoos. Well if my memory serves I do not believe the wrist was one of those popular places. But I would like to add that to my list. I have noticed a lot of people more so celebrities have tattoos on their wrist. I think this is a cool place to get a tattoo, I'm not quit sure why, but for us ordinary people it's probably not the best place to get inked. It probably had something to do with the fact that a lot of our jobs would not be so pleased with a visible tattoo on our wrists.
In case you are wondering how I came up with this conclusion I will explain. Here is a small list of celebrities that have wrist tattoos, Britney Spears (one on each wrist) Victoria 'Posh' Beckham, Jessica Alba, Kristin Cavallari (From MTV's Laguna Beach) Lindsay Lohan, Alyssa Milano and the list goes on. However, it is quit odd that I only listed women that have these wrist tattoos. But none the less it seems to be some sort of a trend in Hollywood to have a wrist tattoo. I would absolutely love to get one myself but I don't think I could get on in such a visible place. I feel that I would regret it later on down the road. Either way it's still interesting to see places a lot of people have tattoos.

Forget The Rings Get A Tattoo
6:15 AMI want to make it clear I am not endorsing you to get a tattoo on your ring finger instead of a wedding band. But a lot of people feel this is much more romantic blah blah blah. But I'm sure they won't be feeling that way when they get divorced. For instance Pamela Anderson got Tommy tattooed on her ring finger when they got married because she doesn't believe in rings. Well after they got divorced she got Tommy turned into Mommy.
Also there has been a big stink about Beyonce and Jay-Z not acknowledging that they were married and for the fact that we all know they got married and they still refuse to wear wedding bands. Well Beyonce opened up to Essence Magazine about this very matter.
She said the reason why she doesn't wear an engagement ring.
'People put too much emphasis on that. It's just material and it's just silly to me.'
However, Essence claims that Beyonce wears a band over a tattooed number 4. The reason behind the tattoo is that her and Jay-Z were both born on the forth day of the month and that they got married on April 4, 2008.
This is all fine and dandy and I want everyone to know that I do believe in marriage and I am happily married myself. But heaven forbid something were to happen and my husband and I were to get divorce. I would hate to have a tattoo of him on my body. Believe me I have thought about it. But I'm scared that the tattoo jinx will get me if I do. Honestly, this decision is up to you and you only. If you want to celebrate your love with a tattoo than by all means do so. Just do me a favor and think twice about it before you actaully get inked.
